Una struttura di ottimo livello in una posizione unica.I cottages sono deliziosi, pulitissimi e perfettamente organizzati.Buonissimo il rapporto qualita’ prezzo.Proprietario molto gentile per non parlare di Sofia che si occupa di tutto ed è una persona deliziosa.Ideale per un vacanza tranquilla. Dopo tantissimi anni che viaggio in Grecia Cavos resta in assoluto uno dei posti migliori in cui sono stato.

Nous avons passé 8 jours à Cavos cottages avec deux ados. Sans doute les meilleurs moments de notre voyage itinérant en Grèce (Météores, Ithaque, Peloponese, Athene, Pelion). La localisation des 5 cottages est exceptionnelle (vue à 180° sur la mer depuis la terrasse, la contemplation des couchers de soleil est un temps fort du séjour). La piscine est superbe et représente un autre point fort du site; Partagée entre cinq logement, elle est quasiment privée. Une atmosphère très reposante se dégage de l’endroit. Le cottage est très agréable, très propre, plutôt adapté pour 2 personnes, mais quand même confortable à 4. Nous occupions l’Aqua Cottage, déco sobre mais très agréable, haut plafond, murs blancs, bouquet de fleur d’accueil. On s’y sent bien tout de suite. Le service des chambres journalier par Julia était impeccable. L’aménagement pour faire la cuisine est un peu sommaire (un peu cuisine de mobilhome) on ne vient pas la pour faire de la grande cuisine de toute façon. Literie un peu fatiguée. L’endroit est idéalement situé pour visiter Ithaque et profiter des plus belles plages (à 10 min) et points d’intérêt de l’ile. L’accès au gite surprend la première fois, le chemin d’accès à partir de la route entre Lefki et Stavros est très raide, mais de bonne qualité (cimentée) et on s’habitue vite. Bref une adresse plus que recommandable.

πολύ καλύτερο ακόμα και από τις φωτογραφίες. Όλα τα σπιτάκια είναι πανέμορφα και πεντακάθαρα. Πραγματικά είναι το ιδανικό μέρος για διακοπές. Το προσωπικό και ο καπετάνιος είναι πολύ ευγενικοί και καλοί στην δουλειά τους. Δεν είχαμε κανένα απολύτως παράπονο.

Υψηλου επιπεδου φιλοξενια σε ενα μοναδικο φυσικο περιβαλλον .Τιποτα τυχαιο, ολα φροντισμενα με με μερακι και προσοχη.Τα συγχαρητηρια μας! Μια τιμια και αξιοπρεπης προταση διαμονης στο ωραιοτερο σημειο του νησιου.

Επισκεφθήκαμε το ξενοδοχείο την περίοδο του 15αύγουστου. Παρά την αυξημένη κίνηση μείναμε έκπληκτοι με το πόσο ήσυχα ήταν. Το δωμάτιό μας υπέροχο, ευρύχωρο και με μοναδική θέα στην Κεφαλλονιά. Η κουζίνα διαθέτει τον απαραίτητο εξοπλισμό για όσουν θέλουν να μαγειρέψουν στο δωμάτιο. Ιδιαίτερη αναφορά αξίζει στην Τζούλη που μας περιποιήθηκε ξεχωριστά και φρόντιζε μέχρι και την τελευταία λεπτομέρεια! Μην παραλείψετε μια βουτιά στην πισίνα για ένα ιδανικό κλείσιμο της ημέρας! Σας ευχαριστούμε για τη φιλοξενία, ελπίζουμε να έρθουμε ξανά σύντομα!

Upon arrival to the property we did not see much because we arrived at 2am, tired and exhausted from a long trip. But in the morning, oh in the morning when we woke up we were stunned and awed by the beautiful view and the quiet and peaceful surroundings that the cottages offer. set in the mountain with a beautiful sea view towards Kefalonia. And we thought the sunset in Santorini was beautiful!
The owner Mr. Vaggelis was a gentleman throughout, a retired Captain, always making sure we were ok and having a good stay and always helpful.
The cottage we stayed in was clean, and a comfortable size (for a couple). The bathtub, which contained a shower, is a little too small but hey, we weren’t there to soak in the tub. The change of linen is done every 4 days which seemed a bit long for me. (2 -3 days is my preferrence). everything else was perfect. They are self catering cottages with fully equipped kitchen, air conditioner, and hair dryer for us ladies, covered parking for the cars, communal swimming pool and lovely porch-front areas in each of the 5 available cottages.
We wished we could’ve stayed for longer… but good things come to an end.

We discovered Cavos as a friend had listed them on their wedding website as possible venues for those attending. The website looked inviting and the views of Kefalonia sold the rest to us. The cottages are perched midway down a very steep mountain side so getting their (on a moped) takes some skill. On arrival though its all worth it. The cottages are exactly as they appear on the website. The 5 cottages are each painted a different colour and are given a different name (we had Lemon cottage and Orange cottage). The cottages are clean and well maintained. As the other reviewer said, they are newly built and this is the 2nd summer they have been open. There was a hiccup with the daily charge – we had been quoted Euro 75 by the owners daughter but on checkout he insisted that the rate was Euro 95. As I didn’t have the proof with me we paid the higher price. On returning home I recovered the initial quote and he promptly agreed to do a wire transfer of the overpayment due to he error in quoting. A nice way of rounding off what was a stunning trip to a stunning island for a stunning wedding!

The room we were staying was spacious and it had a very nice view and the owner was very friendly to us! We except to visit the place netx year and we will be grateful to stay at the same hotel! It really worths!

Lovely and spacious cottages, loads of attention to detail and a stunning island to boot. We were made to feel very welcome and really enjoyed the stunning views! Thank you to Mrs Sofia and Captain C for their wonderful hospitality!

It was one of our best holidays that we have had in recent years due to the amazing view, atmosphere and quality of service. The rooms were impeccable and the pool a pleasure!

Very close to the key places to visit in Ithaca (Stavros 1 km ,Frikes 3 km Kioni )

The road leading from the main to the cottages (approx 200 meters) could be difficult with a rented small motorcycle.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Cavos – we were the first visitors of the season and so it was perfectly quiet and relaxing which is just what we wanted.
The cottage (Mint Cottage) was the perfect size for the two of us, though there was also a sofa-bed too. We spent hours on our verandah, looking over the Med towards Kephallonia – Cavos Sunset View definately lives up to its name. The pool was perfect, with sun loungers and umbrellas, and the only sound the tinkling of the goats bells as they made their way across the hills.
We bought food at the supermarket in Stavros (very friendly), and ate at lovely tavernas in Frikes and Vathy, as well as cooking at the cottage. We also ate at a taverna in Stavros (can’t remember the name but it’s just opposite the supermarket) which was wonderful, excellent food and lovely woman serving. You can sit out in the garden, but we sat inside as it was on the one wet day we had.
All in all, our stay at Cavos was memorable and comes highly recommended, and a big thank you to Sissy (especially with her patience over me trying to make the international transfer!), Sofia and the Captain

We stayed in Cavos for 6 days and it was really great. We stayed there with a friendly couple and our children enjoyed the large yard and the swimming pool. The view was stunning indeed! The price was great too.
Some small drawbacks:
– plenty of mosquitoes
– at night you could spot some rats walking around (still, this is countryside and, yes, you get rats in the countryside)

The location is convenient only if you have your own means of transportation, though.
By car, Stavros village is ~ 5 minutes and the wonderful Ag. Ioannis beach is ~10 min away.

We stayed for one week… the view is amazing. Its very close to the nicest beach – Ag. Ioannis. We enjoyed our staying and we spent most of our time in our veranda…!
They cleaned our room every 2 days. Since we didnt find nice food in the island the fully equipped kitchen was a big advantages for us. A/C as well as ceiling fans are available.The only asset that was missing was internet. Over all the service and the cottage (we had the Peach) exceed our expectations. Both Mr Vaggelis and Mrs Sofia were very helpful and polite. For sure we gonna come back in the future and we highly recommend the place :))

It was an amazing holiday! we would stay for ever if we could!!we stayed for 8 days and had a great time-even though our dog got sick..-a great place to stay,perfect view,beautiful cottage-we had the yellow one-we had all we needed even a covered parking!our dog liked the garden and all the space she could walk around.miss Sofia and Captain very very friendly and kind and loving dogs-a rare thing in our country!we enjoyed our veranda as much as we could-quiet,great view!Loved Ithaca,with rather difficult to reach beaches but with so beautiful villages.. we’ll go back for sure!!

8 days of Great Relax and mind escape from city routine. Beautiful place, great view, great room service.

The room had such a view that we found it difficult to leave it!

We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings breeze as much as the beautiful sunset.

We also enjoyed the quietness and its proximity to the islands beaches

The room is clean and cosy but honestly u dont care because there is no reason to staybon the room when u can seat at the balcony watching the sea and kefalonia.

The owner and the lady in charge are very friendly and the prices very reasonable

We spent 5 wonderful nights (20-24 August 2011) in this lovely orange house. We enjoyed the quiet sunset in our spacious veranda. The room was comfortable (car park outside the main entrance!!!) and had all the needed equipment to actually live there ;-). The lady Sophia was always there to take care of everything. We also found really great the common area with the swimming pool and the XXL veranda with the view of Kefalonia. An excellent choice for young couples and families (only car holders advised to stay there)

PS. I hope the captain equipped the place with wifi internet this year…. 😉

We stayed for two weeks in mid-September to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. An excellent place to stay, large independent cottages with a great balcony and wide views West over Kefalonia. Captain Caravias was an excellent host who made us feel very welcome and has some great stories to tell. This is the best place we have stayed anywhere across the Greek islands in the last twelve years. The local beach below Stavros village was our favourite and was an easy 1 mile walk away. A car was also useful and traffic was minimal so it was a joy to get around. The figs and grapes were in season, and despite the monumental night of thunderstorms and floods in around Vathi the next day, which very quickly cleared up, we had one of the best holidays yet.

Quiet location, amazing view, close to the beach and shops. We will definately be back!
The studios are clean, with great terrace and perfect view of the sunset. It is 10 min drive from the best beach on the island and also 5 min drive from the supermarket and tavernas.

We loved our stay in this hotel, rooms are so comfortable having everything you need , family or couple … quiet location near stavros village (nice for dinner). Vathy and Kioni are not so far but you will need a car 10- 15 mins. Amazing private balcony with magnificent view of ionian sea and romantic sunset!!!! nice sweeming pool to relax after a full day ….

Together with our children (who came from abroad) we rented two cottages. We enjoyed every minute of it. The environment is so peaceful and quiet. The best place to relax.
We had nice BBQ’s and spent nice time on the big terrace looking over the sea and enjoying the sunset.
The owners and personnel were very helpful and friendly!

We have spend our holidays on August 2013. The area is really fantastic like the view, the only one little anacronism is the private road that in my opinion could be more confortable. The structure is absolutely over the Greek standards, and I have spend my holidays for 20 years in Greece.

Captain Caravias is absolutely a great person. He helped and drived us during the holiday time for every needs.
We recommend Cavos cottages to everybody and for sure we will back in Ithaca and in Cavos.

Perfectly situated and with breathtaking views, this is a wonderful place to relax. Its owner, Captain Caravias, runs a very good ship and booking website Ionian Villas is exemplary. Their island rep Sue ensures everything (airport transfers etc) runs seamlessly and all reasonably priced. This includes local restaurants as reviewed elsewhere on this site.

Ithaca is a rare and magical island reminiscent of the Mediterranean 50 or more years ago. Its dramatic coastline even surpasses Italy’s famous Amalfi Drive ! We will most definitely return.

We have just returned from 2 weeks on Ithaca, staying at Cavos and had a fantastic time. The Captain was lovely, he made sure you knew he was there to help but left you to your own devices to enjoy the accommodation and surrounding gardens and pool. Everything was spotless (thanks to Julie) and even though the cottages were fully booked, we had the luxury of having the pool to ourselves the majority of the 2 weeks (this was in between visiting the various beaches). The cottages are very well maintained and the positioning is perfect if you are looking for a restful holiday with beautiful views and sunsets. You definitely need transport to get around, we hired a moped for the whole duration which was a great way to get about. Whilst we did not book through Ionian Villas, we contacted Sue White who was really helpful in organising the taxis/transfers. Ryanair delayed the flights which meant we had to book a private boat between Kefalonia and Ithaca (there and back) but it was worth it and meant we didn’t have to hang around waiting for the ferry. The island of Ithaca is the most beautiful Greek island we have visited (we have been to most) and we will definitely be back.

This is not the first time we have stayed at Cavos. There were 6 of us in all, my husband and myself and are two children and their partners. It is ideal that we each had our own cottage. This is an excellent place to stay on Ithaca. It is very well maintained and the Captain and Julie are to be commended on an excellent job. The views and particularly the sunsets are amazing. One needs transport to get to the beaches etc but the position is certainly worth it.

We had a fantastic time at the cottages, with the most spectacular view in the Ionians. The island is beautiful and the apartments were extremely well kept by Julie. The Captain was also very hospitable; this place couldn’t be more perfect! Hoping to be back next year!

We loved the beautifull view towards the sea from the terrace of our bungalow. The swimming pool had the right size to cool down from time to time. Layout and equipment of the bungalow was functional, we did not miss anything. The place is an good starting point to discover the beauthy of Ithaki by car.
Overall perfect correlation between price and quality!

We stayed here’s in September and we were the only guests which meant we had the pool, terrace and place to our selves which was luxurious but nevertheless I think it would have been equally lovely had there been people staying in the other cottages. The owner could not have been more helpful. The place was very clean and comfortable. The evenings here are really magical with amazing vistas across to Kefalonia and incredible sunsets. Stavros, the local town, is charming and the towns and beaches in the north of Ithika are perfect. We had a brilliant time and would definitely go again.

Me and my husband stayed in the cottages for 4 days. We were so amazed by the place that we wanted to stay in all the time. The view is stunning, the rooms were the cleanest rooms we’ve ever stayed in, there is basic equipment for a comfortable stay, fantastic large balcony and garden and the rooms are very beautiful. The best thing was the quietness. We couldn’t believe it was so peaceful and quiet, you could hardly hear anything. Ideal for relaxation. The swimming pool was just a few meters from the cottages, clean and with a nice view. I recommend it to all my friends and coming back definitely.
